For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), Sydcup OÜ is the data controller.

2. What Data We Collect

RepoPad is designed to work locally on your Mac. Your repositories, file paths, branch names, tags, and preferences never leave your device. We collect only the following:

2.1 Crash Reports & Diagnostics

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and diagnostic data when the application encounters an error. This may include:

• Device type, macOS version, and app version
• Crash stack traces and error messages
• General usage context at the time of the crash (e.g., which screen was active)

Crash reports do not contain repository names, file paths, Git data, or any personally identifiable information.

2.2 License Validation

When you activate a Pro license, your license key is sent to Lemon Squeezy (our payment and license management provider) to verify its validity. No other data is transmitted during this process. Lemon Squeezy may store the email address and payment information you provided during purchase — see their privacy policy for details.

2.3 Data We Do Not Collect

• Repository names, paths, or contents
• Git history, branches, commits, or diffs
• Keyboard shortcut configurations
• Names or paths of applications you launch
• Any personally identifiable information through the app itself

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process the limited data described above on the following legal bases:

• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — crash reports help us improve app stability and fix bugs.
• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — license validation is necessary to provide the Pro features you purchased.

5. Data Retention

Crash reports are retained in Sentry for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted. License validation data is retained by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their retention policy and applicable tax and accounting regulations.

6. Data Transfers

Our third-party providers (Sentry, Lemon Squeezy) may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other appropriate safeguards as required by GDPR.

Under the GDPR and other applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Estonia: the Data Protection Inspectorate, Andmekaitse Inspektsioon)

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To make a request, email support@repopad.com.

9. Children

RepoPad is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Cookies & Website

The RepoPad website (repopad.com) does not use cookies or tracking scripts. No personal data is collected through the website.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
